The Northern Aviators Club hosted a reciprocal visit from The Gordonton Microlight Club yesterday when ten of their aircraft called into Kaipara Flats for a pikelets with jam and cream morning tea. altogether there were 20 visiting aircraft on the feild with others coming from Whangarei and North Shore. Nick Buxeda flew in in his new Ellipse Spirit:
This was the first time I had seen ZK-NIX and it looked really nice. One point of difference is the elliptical wing planform (like a Spitfire) that you can see in the shadow in this photo.
A spectacular line up. Shark, Bristell, Tecnam Bravo and Ellipse Spirit. We are talking microlights here!
I only just made this photo of ZK-NIX as it departed for lunch at Dargaville, as it was pretty fast.
