Air New Zealand has recently added their 30th ATR 72-600 aircraft to their fleet:
ZK-MZG is c/n 1709 and features new Pratt & Whitney 127XT turbo prop engines that are apparently 3% more fuel efficient than the older engines in the rest of the fleet. Its first revenue flight was from Christchurch to Invercargill on 16/1/25 and it is photo'd above by Tim Gorman of NZ Aviation at Wellington on 17/1/25. A nice photo Tim.I understand that another ATR 72-600 is due for delivery to Air NZ in mid 2025.
