Tecnam P 92 Eaglet ZK-TNZ/2 Delivery to Whangarei Today 9-10-2021

In an epic flight today, Rusty Russell and Alex Hewitt delivered the Whangarei Flying Club's new Tecnam P 92 Eaglet ZK-TNZ2 from Rangiora where the Tecnam agent Neil Ross had positioned it, via Wanganui and up the West Coast of the North Island, dodging ever changing Covid lockdown restrictions as they went!  Rusty told me that they cruised at 8,000 feet in controlled VFR up the South Island and to Wanganui in 2 and a half hours while using 40 litres of fuel.  That's impressive.

ZK-TNZ2 at home at Whangarei with the oldest P 92 Echo ZK-KFP in Hangar 10 in the background.  Now they cannot fly their new toy under Level 3 lockdown restrictions!
