A visit to Stratford airfield today revealed a lot of Saturday activity including the latest resident Mid West Helicopters Hughes 369E ZK-IFS. This was imported from Norway in 2007 and has been with the company since early 2018.
Doing circuits was Zenith Zodiac CH601XL ZK-OBH which was acquired by a New Plymouth owner in May 2021.
With most of the resident gliders active the Taranaki Gliding Club Eurofox 3K towplane was kept very busy. This was imported new in 2015.
Some of the gliders were Schleicher Ka6E ZK-GET which was imported new way back in 1966.
Registered to an Eltham owner is Schempp Hirth Discus b ZK-GXC which was imported new in 1986.
And imported from the UK in 2005 was Schempp Hirth Discus a ZK-GYT which is registered to a Hawera owner.
