Continuing with Rusty Russell's and Alex Hewitt's delivery flight of the Whangarei Flying Club's new Tecnam P 92 Eaglet ZK-TNZ2. After refuelling at Whanganui (40 litres from Rangiora in two and a half hours) and finding there were no pies to be had, they continued North:
On the tarmac at Whanganui
Cutting across tiger country North of Whanganui
And out to the North Taranaki coast with Mokau up ahead
Raglan with lots of angry looking waves
Approaching the Manakau Heads
Past Piha with Lion Rock down there
Nearly there. the South end of the Kaipara Harbour looking a bit grey
Then past the Maungaturoto dairy factory. All that is needed now is to hop over the Brynderwens and follow the beach up along Bream Bay to the Whangarei Harbour and Onerahi airport
All tucked up in Hangar 10 making three generations of Tecnam P 92s.
Thanks very much for the photos Rusty.
