The inclement weather this summer across the North Island has been dappled with the odd fine day but far from ideal for a beach holiday, however like many Kiwi's you have to make the most of the time available. The last few days for the author have been spent on the Coromandel and the proximity to Pauanui Beach Airport to our accommodation made for numerous, quick visits and the following are those snapped, mostly on the nicest day weatherwise, Friday 06 January.

Cessna 172N ZK-DEX is registered to a Bay of Plenty owner and made a brief visit on Friday (ex ZK-ELG). |

Wearing a new scheme since I last saw it, Cessna 172M ZK-DRT spent a few days at Pauanui under cover so it was great to get it on the move. |

Palmerston North based Beech F33A ZK-EDS arrived and replaced the owners other aircraft that was on location earlier in the week, Yak 52TW ZK-YTW. |

Ardmore Flying School's Cessna 172N ZK-EOX made several visits from its temporary base, Slipper Island. |

Nanchang ZK-FRU was a frequent sight with it spending lots of time in the air. |

Tecnam 2002 Sierra ZK-JNG spent a couple of days at Pauanui, registered to the Hauraki Aero Club, Thames. |
