The Rodney Aero Club puts on a Cuppa and Coffee every Saturday morning from 10 and invites flyers to visit. The last time we had flying visitors was 10 June! Since then we have had four Saturdays of awful weather but today the weather was at least flyable and we welcomed a couple of visitors from Whangarei:
Tecnam P 92 Eaglet ZK-DDE2 is the latest aircraft on line with the Whangarei Flying Club having been registered with them since 28/4/23.And Cessna 150M ZK-LRD (ex ZK-JMP) has been registered to a Waipu owner since 13/4/23 and was on a cross country exercise.
We had a good turnout of members and visitors. Erwin's chocolate brownie was yummy, Craig's excellent flight simulator (complete with genuine Jaguar seat) was flat out, and the club's Pipistrel and a few others were flying. It was great to have flyable weather again!
