And Yet Something Else New - at NZPP on 30-6-2023

On the same day as I was photographing some new freight aircraft at Auckland International, Merlin Labs latest aircraft was at Paraparaumu:

ZK-MLO2 (c/n 208B1125) is a Cessna Grand Caravan converted to an all freight Super Cargomaster that was registered to Merlin Labs NZ Ltd of Kerikeri on 7/6/23.  It was previously N208FF.

I understand that it carried out its first freight flight overnight on 29/30/June, from Kerikeri to Auckland and then on to Palmerston North.  Merlin Labs are working towards non-piloted freight flights in the future although current flights are supervised by two pilots.  You can read a Northern Advocate article on the plane and Merlin Labs HERE
