Hamilton. Friday 31st.

I managed to capture these photos between the showers at Hamilton today - 31-08-2018.

 The Bell 206B JetRanger ZK-HHC2 is c/n 1715 and has been with Ashworth Helicopters 2009 Ltd since 24-05-1996.

Hughes 369E ZK-IDS c/n 0232E as listed to Precision Helicopters New Zealand Ltd of Blenheim.

An unexpected catch was this Pacific Aerospace 750XL ZK-PNX3 c/n 131 as re-registered from ZK-ASA on 24-08-2018 or Phoenix Aviation Ltd of Gore.

Early and recent arrival at Omaka

Lord Nelson captured these two shots at Omaka today.

The Bearhawk Syndicates R and B Bearhawk ZK-NJB2 (c/n 1242) was on the tie downs. 

An early arrival for the Healthy Bastards weekend !

Also noted was the Aerospatiale AS 350 BA ZK-HIH2 (c/n 1723) which very recently transferred from Wanaka Helicopters Ltd to Precision Helicopters. 

It is parked with the Company's Hughes 369E ZK-IDS (c/n 0232E).

Blue Bus on the Prowl. Omaka

A quick look at Omaka found these helicopters.

 KHI Kawasaki-Bell 47G3B-KH4 ZK-HPG3 (c/n 2082). This is an ex Royal Thai Air Force machine from 1966, which came into NZ after about seventeen years in Australia. It is registered to Cliff Marchant.

 Bell 206B JetRanger II ZK-HZE (c/n 769) came in from Canada in 1984 and has been with Marlborough Helicopters Ltd at Omaka since September of 2006. It still wears its basic Helicopters (NZ) Ltd colour scheme.

Hughes 369E ZK-IDS (C/n 0232E). Hard to believe but this real tidy looking helicopter is coming up to thirty years old. It had its airworthiness test at Mesa, Arizona on 11-05-1987. 

It was acquired by David Satchwell of Channelview, Texas on 24-10-2008 and came to NZ to become ZK-IDS with his Bay Ventures NZ Ltd at Napier from 30-03-2011.

It is now Omaka based with Precision Helicopters Ltd.

Below we see ZK-IDS returning after an outing.

 After a brief refueling stop off the Eurocopter EC 120 B ZK-INN (c/n 1570) depart Omaka. This is Motueka based with Tasman Helicopters Above And Beyond Ltd.
