Cheetahs JER and TMS on the Coast.

Grumman American AA-5A Cheetah ZK-JER (c/n AA5A-0764) was built in 1979 and came from the States to be registered to Dennis Thompson International Ltd of Ardmore on 23-09-1982 before joining Air Gisborne Ltd on 13-10-1982. It transferred to Reid Aviation Ltd of Gisborne on 01-04-2006 and then moved back to Air Gisborne Ltd on 03-12-2010.
It is seen above about mid afternoon today in improving weather conditions.

Below is an early afternoon view of ZK-TMR.
 Grumman American AA-5A Cheetah ZK-TMR (c/n AA5A-0230) was built in 1976 and went to Australia to become VH-TXB in January of 1977. It came over to NZ in about 1999 and flew in its VH marks until becoming ZK-TMR on 23-02-2006 with Air Gisborne.
It transferred over to Reid Aviation Ltd at Mount Maunganui on 23-11-2010.

  3. I've flown JER EFX DNJ MRR all Grumman's at air gisborne flown with John Reid good memories Grumman is a very good aircraft.
