The BAe 146-200QC Whisper Jet VH-SAZ2 (c/n 2148) has been and gone and I did not even hear it.
This British Aerospace 146 first flew as G-6-148 on 29-11-1989 and went on to serve as G-PRIN, then back to G-6-148. (The G is for UK, the 6 is for British Aerospace and the 148 is the last three numbers of its c/n). It then went back to G-BTIA and then to South Africa as ZS-NCB. It returned to the UK register as G-BTIA and then became G-ZAPK before moving to Australia as VH-SAZ from 27-11-2017.
It flew into NZ on 09-07-20119 on lease to Parcel Air to cover for their Boeing 737's out on servicing. It did it first freight run on 09-07-2019 and its final on 16-08-2019 before returning to Bankstown on 18th.
It was photographed above by Matt Hayes on 20-07-2019
