My flight to Auckland yesterday arrived just before 10am and this is around the time that several flights from Asia arrive. My preferred transport from the airport is the 380 bus across to Papatoetoe and the the train to Britomart, and if you sit in a right hand window seat on the bus you get a good view of arriving aircraft on the approach path. So it was yesterday when Thai Airways B 787-8 Dreamliner HS-TWB was on approach against a nice blue sky.

What amuses me is that you can step off an A380 from somewhere far away then continue your journey, in some cases within to walking distances from home, still on a 380. Or do it vice versa.
