The Piper PA-28-151 Warrior ZK-EBS (c/n 28-7715056) came off the production line in late 1976 as N9645N and was shipped to Airwork (NZ) Ltd at Ardmore who registered it on 19-01-1977.
It went to the South Canterbury Aero Club at Timaru from 22-07-1977 as a replacement for Warrior ZK-EBN which was lost in an accident at Camden on 09-06-1977.
Above we see it at Timaru on 17-09-1977.
From 30-04-1985 it was with the South Otago Aero Club at Balclutha briefly before going to A M McGreevy at Alexandra from 08-07-1985.
The Canterbury Aero Club took it over from 13-04-1988
Above at Wigram on 20-09-2008.
And below at Timaru on 01-03-2018.
The Club decided that it was more economical to fully refurbish this airframe than it was to purchase another factory new unit.
So. Above we have ZK-EBS being prepared for a repaint at Christchurch on 23-01-2019.
And below we see it completed in the same scheme as the latest new additions to there fleet.
