Pie run Thursday 2nd & Friday 03-07-2015

Passing through Rangiora from Stratford today (03-07-2015) was the Graeme Prankerd Cessna 180B ZK-EEJ (c/n 50557)
It got a mention earlier at :-http://nzcivair.blogspot.co.nz/2011/01/and-still-they-come-masterton.html

Yesterday I spied this roadrunner at gate 16 Christchurch International Airport.
(Trying to get in - not out).
It is none other than the Piper PA-18-150 c/n 18-7709103.
This makes it ex S5-DAM all the way from Slovenia where it was with the Nova Gorica Aero Club and based at Bovec airfield.
Below is a pic of it with glider tow rope attached at said field taken by Pirih Florijan in 2010.

  3. For a minute I thought "an Auster" as I's so used to seeing my bare frame with no fabric on it! Where is this going to be based?
