An hour at Rangiora today 12-07-2015.

Some of the stuff I spotted at Rangiora in one hour this afternoon.
The Brian Hill Cessna 180 ZK-CBH c/n 32542 at full noise departing on 07.
Today we had not one - but two - Bolkow Bo208 Juniors defying gravity and making use of the curvature of the earth.
Above is ZK-CJK c/n 618 of Alistair Matthews of Blenheim heading out.
Below is ZK-CJE c/n 562. This is the Bernice Hintz aircraft from Forest Field.
In fact that is Bernice in the left hand seat putting on a sprightly performance with two up.

A recent aircraft to return to Rangiora is this Alpi Pioneer 200 ZK-LPM c/n NZ2004 for Margo and Victor. It was based at NZRT with Ross Marfell from 2003 followed by Time on Great Barrier Island from 2005 and then over to Paihia from 2008.
And yes - that is still frost on the ground mid afternoon.
The Peter Dyer Rans S-6S Coyote II ZK-MLD c/n 09991341 was back in the air today for the first time since its whoopsie earlier in the year.
Jan and Jerry Chisum have been in town since Friday to attend the funeral of Ces Collings.
Here the aircraft is about ready to head back up country - initially to Blenheim.
This is Jan's GY-20 Minicab ZK-RJK c/n AACA/187.
Being upgraded from an 80hp to a 100hp Rotax is the Europa XS Monowheel ZK-RPR c/n 406 which recently took up ownership with the DMR Partnership of Timaru.
