One of the most active aircraft on the field at the Black Sands Flyin at Raglan on Saturday was Lockwood Aircam ZK-SUN owned by Cyril Wright of Auckland . With a large wing area and 2 Rotax 912S engines pushing, it fairly leaped off the ground into the breeze. Very spectacular!

And here it goes again - this is about a third of the way down the strip!

I have done a previous post on ZK-SUN, from the SAANZ flyin at Ashburton in February 2009, and it has been pointed out to me (nicely!) that this aircraft ex N417AC is not a factory built example as I had posted. In fact it was built by John W Herbert of Ketchum, Idaho with a Date of Manufacture of 08/01/2000 (I guess that would be the first of August 2000). We go out of our way to bring you only the most accurate information!
