James Aviation DC 3 ZK-AZL at Sunrise at Te Kowhai This Morning 3-6-2019

James Aviation's historic DC 3 ZK-AZL has recently been re-located to Te Kowhai from its previous home at Mystery Creek.

I was passing through Te Kowhai early this morning and it looked really great out in the early morning light.

But it was pretty cold!

    Interesting tail wheel.Looks like a "jackup" to me.

    It has been placed on plinths, attached by steel frames picking up on the axles. Dunno where the tailwheel went. Probably sold off for spares. :-j
