East Coast travels

A trip down the North Islands East Coast en route the weekend's taildragger fly in at Waipukurau offered a number of interesting aircraft starting with Farmers Air PAC 750XL ZK-SWA at their Gisborne Airport base.

Further along a visit to the Hawkes Bay Hospital helicopter base found BK117B-2 ZK-HIQ which became the new Hawkes Bay Lowe Corp Rescue helicopter in December 2018.

Over at Hastings airfield was Heli Sika's AS350B-2 sprayer, ZK-HNL

And the latest addition to the Air Hawkes Bay training fleet is Cessna 152 ZK-TOD,  imported from Australia in December 2018.

  2. The first allocated ZK-TOD was a Cessna 152 which collided with the first allocated ZK-JGB which was also a Cessna 152 operated by the same Company. Date was 26-07-2010 with three occupants being killed near Feilding.
