Further to an earlier post, Rockwell 114 ZK-ELL took to the skys over Hawkes Bay for the first time on 9 Nov 2010 for an operational check flight with Hawkes Bay & East Coast Aero Club CFI Max Dixon at the controls.

C/n 14229 this aircraft rolled out of the factory in early 1977 and was shipped to Belgium with the registration OO-TTC. In December 1996 it was re-registered to N747WW. July 1998 saw the registration change to N96ET. The owner informed me that this aircraft was upgraded at the factory and used as a poster aircraft to advertise the 114B. As mentioned in a previous post this aircraft is fitted with Garmin 430 avionics.

A part of this aircrafts history is that it took part in the Flight Across America in memory of the events on 11 September 2001.
