Omaka yesterday 17-02-2014

With Weekend Eight approaching the "Moths" are migrating South.
De Havilland DH60  Moth ZK-ADT (c/n 1101) of Jan and Jerry Chisum stopped over at Omaka (together with ZK-BMY) for fuel on the way to Mandeville's Weekend Eight fly-in.
That the Blue Bus is lurking under the trees in the background.
ADT carries a "Invincible Airscrews" built propeller and prop boss. Lovely.
Three recent addition to our civil register include:-
The Classic Aircraft Sales Fokker Dr.1 Triplane Replica ZK-FKD2 (c/n CAS02) awaiting its first flight.
Muddy Murdoch's Nanchang CJ-6 ZK-MUD (c/n 1832041) nearing completion in the JEM Aviation hangar. It carries its small ZK-MUD registration letters and a small kiwi beneath is horizontal tailplane.
Also receiving attention at JEM Aviation was Mit Brereton's De Havilland DH104 Devon C.1 ZK-ZKF (c/n 04312). Still in its RNZAF NZ1805 markings.

With thanks to JEM Aviation and Classic Aircraft sales for hangar access.
