Omarama coffee break for Bargeld01

Bargeld01 took time out to partake of coffee at the Kahu Café on the Omarama Airfield on Sunday the 8th. (Well worth a stop over - flying or driving through).
Not a bad spot to watch the action.
Two of the Glider Rentals aircraft are shown here. The Piper PA-25-235D Pawnee ZK-PPA (c/n 25-7656063) is of 1976 vintage.
It came to NZ via John Shivas to become ZK-PPA on 12-07-1985 for delivery to Charles Sewell who operated of his strip near Mayfield (inland Canterbury).
In 1997 it went north to Mercer for Barclay Aerial Spraying and then up to Dargaville for Agtech Air Services.
It joined the Southern Soaring Omarama Ltd  in July of 2008 before transferring to the Gavin Wills Glider Rentals on 06-09-2010.
The Schemp-Hirth Duo Discus X ZK-GDD3 (c/n 537) is one of several working out of Omarama.
