C.R.A.C. Open Day Rangiora 14-10-2012

A magic clearance from the dying southerly produced a beautiful afternoon at Rangiora today (Sunday 14-10-2012) for the Canterbury Recreational Aero Club's (CRAC) open day.
Below is a selection of the local aircraft.
The Allan Bowman Rans S-6ES Coyote 11 ZK-AJB2 (c/n 08081901)  has just completed its ten hours flight test schedule.
Two Druine D.31 Turbulents were noted on the field. Peter Smalls ZK-CAC (c/n PFA/506) was towed out into the sunshine. This first flew away back on 06-10-1962.
Below is Dave Provan's ZK-CFX (c/n 1009) looking down from its lofty perch.
Colin Marshall's Evektor Harmony ZK-CGM2 (c/n 20111415) provided the reflection of the Peter Collins Ibis Magic GS-700 ZK-PLC with the revitalised Denney Kitfox 111 ZK-KNZ behind the check list.
The Club Captain Grant Porter rolled out his Avid MkIV ZK-JHW (c/n 1434D) for the multitude to wonder at.
Now in new hands; the Paul Godfrey Denney Kitfox ZK-KNZ is active again after several years parked in the back of the hangar.

The Colomban Cri Cri MC-15 ZK-LBW (c/n 12-0335) is now resident on the NZRT field. Hard to see, but the radio control unit is sitting on top of the forward fuselage, hidden behind the spinner.
Pober Pixie Pathfinder ZK-PXI (c/n MFS1) was let out for the day, as was the Aero Design Pulsar ZK-RUS (c/n 325/MAANZ/510.

The begining of vector 07 is in the bottom of the photo, and 10 begins just by the Blue Rans S-6.
