A Vanishing Breed

The Cessna 207, once an extremely popular form of aerial transport in New Zealand, has dwindled to just 7 units with the departure 07Dec of ZK-EJD from our shores on export to Vanuatu.  This particular example has been on the NZ register since 1977 and has spent I'm pretty sure all of its life domiciled in the South Island with various operators.  It departed from Christchurch today for Wellington, Kerikeri and off to Norfolk Island as YJ-FLY.

  2. Very popular type with the Rotorua Aero Club back in the 1970s for their scenic work.
