Meanwhile, on Sunday Jordan Elvy was doing a bit of aircraft spotting at Wellington International when a previously un-blogged Gippsland Airvan arrived from Feilding:
ZK-YUG3 (c/n GA8-TC-320-09-146) is an Airvan TC 320 model that was registered to Capital Aviation Ltd of Wellington on 29/9/22. I have noted it as the third use of ZK-YUG although the second use, for a Cirrus, was not taken up. It came from Australia where it was VH-PGU and prior to that P2-MFL and VH-BQY.Thanks for the photo Jordan.
The Cirrus certainly did become ZK-YUG, eventually…and about five years later it was sold & re-reg’d
ReplyDeleteThis is the 3rd registration I have seen this aircraft wear now. First saw it as P2-MFL with Missonary Aviation Fellowship at Avalon Airshow 2013, then VH-PGU when it first arrived in New Zealand in 2021 and now ZK-YUG. Has worn the same scheme all these years!
ReplyDeleteConfirming that the Cirris SR22 c/n 1618 was VH-NGT and became ZK-YUG/2 with Capital Aviation on 10-12-2007.
ReplyDeleteCancelled 11-01-2008 and re-reg as VH-NGT again.
It then changed back to ZK-YUG on 12-02-2008 until being re-registered as ZK-VMA on 18-06-2013, still with Capital Aviation. It is still current now with Paul Stewart.
I saw the Sounds Aero Maintenance team working on this bird on Friday at Omaka and didn't give it a second thought!
