Tecnam P 2002 Sierras of New Zealand (6) - the Last Lot of Sierras

We have had a total of twenty nine P 2002 Sierras registered in New Zealand and here I post the details of the final number of Sierras to date in their date of registration order:

ZK-JAX2 (c/n 297) was registered to Auckland Flight Training Ltd at Ardmore on 22/4/08.  It had some well known pilots in its relatively short time at Ardmore, as in the above photo taken on 5/4/09.

On 15/10/09 it was re-registered as ZK-LUX and on 20/10/09 ownership changed to Frank Luxton of Ashburton, where the above photo was taken on 19/1/12, and it is still current with him.

ZK-JNG5 (c/n 151) was previously registered as 25-5030 on the Australian microlight register.  It was registered here to David Trust of Mt Maunganui on 24/6/10.  It went to the Hauraki Aero Club of Thames on 21/1/11.  I was damaged in a landing accident at Thames 6/12/17 and has only recently flown again.  The above photo was taken at a flyin at North Shore airfield on 11/2/12.
ZK-LSF (c/n 486) was registered to S G Ford of Porirua on 4/4/12, and it is still current with him.  It is photo'd above at Taupo on 16/10/14.

And our two most recently registered P 2002 Sierras were both registered to the Wairarapa and Ruahine Aero Club at Masterton, and both were replacements for earlier Sierras that were lost in accidents at Hood Aerodrome.

The first was ZK-WRA (c/n 516) which was registered to the club on 10/2/15.  The WRAC changed their name to the Wairarapa Aero Club on 20/12/19 and it is still current with them.  The above photo was taken at Masterton on 29/9/18.

And the second was ZK-DOY3 (c/n 499) which was imported from Australia where it had been 24-8356 on the Australian microlight register. It was registered to the club on 12/11/19 and is now registered to the Wairarapa Aero Club on 20/12/19 with the club's name change.  The above photo was taken at Masterton on 24/11/19.  The registration is for the long time Chief Flying Instructor of the aero club, Douglas Owen (Doug)Yarrall, and he is well worth another post in his own right.

That is all of our P 2002 Sierras to date, but we have also had one Sierra Mk II model which I will post about next.
