A day trip to Whangarei yesterday included a quick trip to the airport at Onerahi.
Piper PA 32-260 Cherokee 6 ZK-NZA3 was sitting forlornly minus its rudder. It probably won't fly again as it was cancelled from the register on 28/5/14. It was ex ZK-NOW and N3518W.
PA 28-181 Archer ZK-KCC was having some extensive maintenance. This aircraft was previously ZK-NDA and has been previously covered on the blog at www.nzcivair.blogspot.co.nz/2012/02/piper-archer-11-zk-kcc.html Since that post ownership has changed to G and J Hales Ltd of Paparoa.
The smart looking Celier Xenon gyrocopter ZK-XJE was outside being polished. It is owned by the
Robinson Family Trust of Kamo Kamo. It is the only ZK-XJ registration on the register.
Alpi Pioneer 200 ZK-CIR was hangared. It is owned by a Whangarei owner.
TL-2000 Sting RG ZK-SLY was also in the same hangar and has a Whangarei owner.
