This was originally registered in the US as N225JJ - it still carries these marks at the top of its fin.
One of the two new Jonker JS1-C 18/21's in from South Africa. ZK-GOB is the Mark Tingey one from Tauranga.
Olde faithful "PB" the "Lead Sled", is the Canterbury Gliding Club's Schempp-Hirth Janus Ce ZK-GPB (c/n 75). Doesn't seem like twenty years that its been with "The Club".
Above we see the Schleicher ASH 25M ZK-GRJ2 (c/n 25167) of the Chrystall Road Trust of Hastings looking all very serious with (what looks like) Graham White and Jason Kelly about to commit aviation with its self launching motor raised. Close cousin ZK-GOA is parked beyond with owner Jamie Halstead doing the ground crew thing for them.
Another of the Glider Rentals machines is this Schempp-Hirth Duo Discus ZK-GRZ6 (c/n 370) waiting for the competitors to clear out.
ZK-GTD are the personal marks of Tony van Dyke on his Rolladen-Schneider LS8. This came new to NZ as D-8036/TD for Tony for the World Gliding Championships in 1994.
Another Schleicher ASH 25 is ZK-GTF (c/n 25104) - still listed to Doug Hamilton but being flown by Mike Oakley.
What looks like another land back is ZK-GTK (c/n 8477) the Rolladen-Schneider LS8-18 of Terry Jones.
The Omarama Gliding Club have operated this Schempp-Hirth Duo Discus ZK-GUO (c/n 319) since 2004.
