A brief visit to Ardmore on 04 October netted a couple of Cessna 180's visiting the field.
I was pleased to catch Cessna 180 ZK-JDM for the first time in over 21 years! This aircraft is ex ZK-FPP and it changed identity in July 1992 to ZK-JDM. It was November of that year when I first saw it parked at the Auckland International Airshow. Looking through the shoebox, the scheme has remained unchanged with the exception of the registration - it is now broader across the tail.
The second Cessna 180 was locally based ZK-BDB.
Innocent looking ZK-BDB.
ReplyDeleteIt was bent in 1966 and rebuilt as ZK-CWL and had a very distinguished career as such.
It was returned to its ZK-BDB registration in February of 2003.
