NAC Pancake Breakfast at Kaipara Flats This Morning 8-1-2022

The weather was spectacularly good this morning for the Northern Aviators Club's Pancake Breakfast at Kaipara Flats airfield (although it was reportedly clagged in at Kerikeri and on the Coromandel).  However 17 visiting aircraft flew in for Erwin's excellent pancakes including those photo'd below:

Some of the visiting aircraft

Brian Taylor has had his Fly Synthesis Texan ZK-TKP since April 2021 and he has repainted it in this new scheme.

Wally Pendray was an early arrival, form Whitianga in his Ultavia Pelican ZK-MAL2.  Wally told me that he learned to fly in his Pelican at Kaipara Flats.

It was the first time I had seen Pete Walton's new RV 14 ZK-LCW, also from Whitianga, in 20 minutes Pete told me!

Kevin Moir flew up from Parakai in his very colourful SG Aviation Storm ZK-WOC that he has owned since September 2019.

As it was a breakfast flyin, the aircraft could leave mid morning and still do other things in the day.  here Pete Walton departs in ZK-LCW.

Julian Coles off back to North Shore in his RV 12 ZK-JRV2.

While Kevin Moir departed on a local flight with Steve Woodhead.
