Cessna strays at NZRT on Friday

I managed to capture three of the batch of Cessna 172's from the New Zealand International Commercial Pilot Academy Ltd (NZICPA) fleet refueling at Rangiora on Friday afternoon.

Cessna 172R Skyhawk ZK-NPJ is c/n 17280092 and as the registration implies was once a member of the New Plymouth Aero Club. It joined NZICPA in December 2019.

Cessna 172R Skyhawk ZK-WUB is c/n 17280487 and first appeared on the NZ register as ZK-OEM on 10-08-2017 with Aeromotive Ltd. It was re-registered to ZK-WUB on 16-10-2018 and joined NZICPA on 19-10-2018.
ZK-WUD is a Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP with c/n 172S8516. This began its NZ career as ZK-FTM2 on 19-11-2004, joining NZICPA on 01-12-2017 and being re-registered to ZK-WUD on 03-04-2019.

All three are diesel burners.

  1. You will note the black undersides - one of the downsides of those diesel donkeys!

  2. The three bladed props a bit of an indicator as well.
