Waikato Aviation at Hamilton 25-1-2018

Another training establishment at Hamilton is Waikato Aviation which is the commercial arm of the Waikato Aero Club.  Although much smaller than L3 it operates a fleet of a Cessna 172, two Piper Archers, one Diamond DA 42, and a trio of Alpha R 2160s.

Cessna 172R ZK-WAM2 (c/n 17280275) was ex ZK-CGD2.

Piper PA 28-181 Archer III ZK-WIT (c/n 2843563).

Two of the trio of Alpha R 2160s:  ZK-WKF (c/n 160A-06002) and ZK-WJH (c/n 160A-06003).  The third of the trio is ZK-WCD (c/n 160A-06004) is taxying out in the background.

I caught up with ZK-WCD an hour later, doing circuits at Te Kowhai.

All the Waikato Aviation aircraft have the slogan "Go Beyond" on their noses - I hope it is not for Go Beyond Vne!.

  1. WAC recently debuted their new Cessna 172SP - ZK-WKF replacing the R2160 in your photo which along with WJH was sold to North Shore AC, Waikato retaining the rego's for later use.
