Brian Langley Memorial Aerobatic Competition at North Shore Today 23-4-2016

The Brian Langley Memorial Aerobatic competition was held at North Shore airfield today, on the third attempt.  The following aircraft were competing, some with multiple pilots.

Line up of aerobatic aircraft in the sun.

The Maurice McGruer built Pitts S1 ZK-MPM back home at North Shore.  It is now owned by a Whangaparaoa owner and has been fitted with spats.

Yak 52 ZK-TYS arrived from Te Kowhai.  I understand it was going to be flown in the competition.

Trish Stephens gets airborne in her Vans RV 6A ZK-RVF.

As does Tauranga owned Airtourer T3A ZK-XXI.  This was originally ZK-CLG but was rebuilt as a T3A model by AESL in 1973 and registered ZK-DSZ.

Chris Schadler was competing in his new Vans RV 3UL ZK-WCO2, up from Whakatane.

I will post the results when they are available.
