Continuing with Allan Wooller's historic photos of AACA aircraft.
Lance Adlam flying his Jodel D 11 ZK-EJP near Inglewood in 1978. Sadly he was killed in the crash of ZK-EJP on 24/8/96 near his airstrip South of New Plymouth.
And ZK-EJP photo'd at Masterton, also in 1978.
More of the history of ZK-EJP and other of our D 11s can be found at www.nzcivair.blogspot.co.nz/2012/12/jodel-d-11s-of-new-zealand-7.html
I'm a bit late to the party, but lovely photos Allan! I found "Quest For Wings" in a charity shop as a child and made Mum buy it for me. I still remember her driving my sister and I to Taranaki to visit Dad (oil worker) and us hearing on the radio a light plane had crashed in Taranaki...and then finding out it was Lance. Very sad news for this then-9-year-old to hear. So it's great to see such nice photos of his pride and joy.
