Te Kuiti 18-1-2015

Our trip up the North Island took in Feilding for lunch (pretty quiet), Turangi (where RV 3 ZK-XRD was still in its bare metal scheme in the hangar), Taumaranui (where 2 hangars were locked - Minicab ZK-LDL was in one of them), and on to Te Kuiti which offered some different aircraft, as follows:

Super Air Cresco 08-600 ZK-LTT was tied down in the early evening sun.

And there were several aircraft in open fronted hangars and well covered from the elements.  For example, the above photo is of our other type of Beaver:  the Beaver Enterprises Beaver RX 550 ZK-WSP ( ex ZS-WSP).

Other well covered aircraft included the straight tail Cessna 172 ZK-REV2 for a Te Awamutu owner, A visiting Piper PA 28R-200 Cherokee Arrow ZK-EBE from Auckland, and locally owned Cessna 182P ZK-RLG2 , Cessna 150H ZK-CTB2 and Quad City Challenger II ZK-MHK.
