04 January saw the unfortunate demise of NZ homegrown microlight Barber Snark ZK-JEK. The aircraft burst into flames after landing at Ardmore and thankfully the occupants escaped unharmed, however as can be seen in the images the Snark is effectively no more.

Exceedingly lucky that it happened on the ground, sad end to an aircraft.
