Parhelion at Alabama.

Not NZ civil aircraft but of great meteorological interest.
The photo above comes from David Hathaway of NASA/MSFC. It was taken in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy over Alabama.
In all my travels this would be the best parhelion I have ever seen. Sun Dogs, mock suns, phantom suns - call them what you will. It is not every day you also see the upper tangent arc, the Parry arc and the circumzenithal arc in one fabulous shot.
