Another selection of visiting aircraft parked over at Pukaki Airfield during the Lake Ruataniwha Airshow on Saturday the 22nd.
Above is Russell Rarity's Beech V35 Bonanza ZK-DDG (c/n D8220) which transferred down from Gisborne in February of 2011; after being up there for some thirty five years.
Below we have three southern based Cessna 172's.
ZK-DXK is a 172M with the c/n of 66061. Originally delivered to the Canterbury Aero Club in 1976. It has alternated between the Otago Aero Club and Mainland Air Services at Taieri and Momona since May of 1991.
Below is 172M ZK-DXL (c/n 63546) of East Canterbury Aviation of Rangitata Island.
This Skyhawk started work with Andy Padgett at Momona in April of 1975. It has lived its entire career down South, having served mainly with the Central Otago Aero Club, Aspiring Air Ltd and the Fiordland Experience Group/Air Fiordland since mid 1992. It still retains the large "Air Fiordland" across the top of its wings. (extract from a recent blog).
ZK-ERW is a 1976 "N" model (c/n 67728) which was imported in late 1979 for delivery to Alexandra for the Central Otago Aero Club. It is still there but now operating under the Central Otago Flying Club (Inc) name.
Richard Kellahan's Micro Aviation B22 Bantam ZK-JBW (c/n 0115) heading for the aircraft park.
