Allan Bowman reports a quiet day at Rangitata Island today (18-01-2012) with just this Cessna 172K ZK-CSU (c/n 172K-58915) calling in. It is listed with Thomas Corbett of Mayfield, South Canterbury. This was a Rex Aviation import in February of 1970 and went to the Rex Flying School. Next move was to the Slipper Island Resort in August of 1975. In May of 77 it was with R Moore of Hamilton before passing to Dalhoff and King Aviation. In April of 1980 it was listed to T F and R M Corbett of Mayfield. It was damaged in the Waihopai Valley in February 1989 and was then cancelled and stored until being revived on 28-02-1995 to Thomas Corbett. It was operated by Westair Flying Ltd from September 1995 until February of 1999 followed by a year with Glenorchy Air Services and Tourist Co Ltd from April of 99 until passing back to Thom Corbett in April 2000.
