On 29-11-2011 I popped into the Ferrymead Museum in Christchurch and got this view of the Fokker Friendship ZK-BXG (c/n 10189) which had been recently delivered from the Aeroview Museum at Ashburton. It is to be dissected and part of the fuselage and the port wing will be housed in the same building as the Viscount and B170 nose. This will probably take some time as the building was damaged in the recent quakes.
Is this the aircraft that used to be the gate guardian at NZAS?
