New RV's at Black Sands Flyin 2010

The Black Sands Flyin doubled as a convention of bloggers today as Mike Condon was there with the organiser of the flyin ZK-CKE. And I scored a ride down to Raglan with Flyernzl in C 172 ZK-DXQ. There were quite a few long lenses there so there might be some more posts following.

There was a good selection of over 50 aircraft present and quite a few left mid afternoon for beach landings.

This post is deja vue as one year ago I was posting about 2 new RV 7A's at Raglan. (See http://nzcivair.blogspot.com/2009/11/new-rv-7as-at-black-sands-fly-in.html )

This time there were 2 new RV's but of different types - one RV 6A and one RV 7.

ZK-RVA is a RV 6A that was built at Matamata under the eye of veteran RV builder Kees Groot. It is owned by Graeme and Christopher Browning and was first registered on 6/7/10. It is photo'd in Raglan's dappled sunlight under the trees.

ZK-RVA features the Browning family crest on the fuselage.

And the other new RV there was RV 7 ZK-LVA which was imported from the US where it was N724TD, by the Gallagher Family Trust of Manakau. It was registered in New Zealand on 31/8/10 and has been blogged by Mike Condon, but this was its first time to Raglan.
