As well as the ski installation, the aircraft appears to be configured for passenger work. Maybe they were trying to sell it to Mt Cook?
The only ownership dates I have for this aircraft is a change from Hawker Siddley Aviation Ltd. to Hawker Siddley International (NZ) Ltd. (both of Wellington) on 16 November 1968, and the cancellation date 11 June 1969.
