Cessna 172K ZK-WGS registration revoked.

Cessna 172K ZK-WGS c/n 57420 was first registerd in NZ on 26-08-1998 to Walter Gregory Slatter (hence the WGS registration) after a life in the US since 1968 as N46663. In fact its final US owner was W G Slatter of Oakland Park, Florida from 26-08-1992.
Ownership changed to ZKWGS Ltd of Auckland on 12-03-2006. The registration was cancelled on 23-04-2009 as revoked.

  1. Interesting. Any reason for it being revoked?

  2. I was hoping some of you guys (or girls) out there could tell me why.

It appears that "Revoked" often means that it was cancelled due to non payment of fees or renewal of licences.
In a lot of cases it follows an accident when the aircraft is parked up for some time and C of A's are not renewed or annual fees are not paid.
I know of no accident to WGS tho.

  3. Haven't seen the owner attending to his aircraft for some time now. Aircraft is still in the same position at North Shore Aerodrome as photographed, but is now showing signs of neglect.

  4. 01.08.2016 - this aircraft is still there, unmoved, unloved, and with 'crustation/mold' all over it. Rather sad end to a good looking airctaft.
