Until it was found/deemed to be "beyond being fixed" it was going to return to the Philipines Operator. This was all determined on the day that it was stripped of all paint when literally it was quoted at the time as "only being held together by the paint". Like what happened to ZK-BXI when it was "sold" after a long period of storage, I did see all the serviceable bits being taken off the Fairchild and put into a shipping container. Interesting times.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6172387939495342053.post-88942863114589308412012-01-07T21:29:12.146+13:002012-01-07T21:29:12.146+13:00The airframe was condemmed, perhaps, but obviously...The airframe was condemmed, perhaps, but obviously not scrapped....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6172387939495342053.post-27737742807734454522012-01-07T20:51:09.631+13:002012-01-07T20:51:09.631+13:00From my memory the fairchild was bought into ANZ f...From my memory the fairchild was bought into ANZ for a repaint. During the prep work it was found to have extensive corrosion and the whole ariframe was scrapped. I believe it came out of the Philipines. There were a lot of dodgy things going on with it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6172387939495342053.post-57583365685433581912012-01-05T22:31:13.832+13:002012-01-05T22:31:13.832+13:00the fairchild looks tidy considering the years she...the fairchild looks tidy considering the years she has been thereAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
