Last I seen this airplane it wa...I knew Frank Luft. Last I seen this airplane it was an almost finished airframe with the wings being a pile of ribs and spar blanks. Frank’s original intention was to make a Newport 17 powered by a LeBlond 5 cylinder radial. He had already built and was flying a 4/5 scale Davis DS-1 that was powered by one of three LeBlonds that he owned. Also Frank was from White City Oregon. Unfortunately Frank passed before he was able to finish it the airplane project was sold to someone in California.
